Thanks for being a man and helping to raise one, Pops!
Before we met, as a young child and one of nine siblings, you spent many long days laboring with granddaddy – Andrew in the fields of Arizona picking cotton from sun-up to sun-down. You were so concerned with helping him and granny that you even quit school to help out full time. Eventually you left home to join the army in service to this country.
Once honorably discharged, you found your way to Los Angeles, California where you eventually met and married my beautiful mother, along with her two children (Michael and Robin). Determined to provide stability and a quality life for your new family, you worked multiple jobs, seven days a week, in search of better opportunities. While laboring constantly, you attended class in the evenings, at Susan Miller Dorsey Adult School, to earn your general education degree.
